Monica Chua is an Associate Director and Head of PR & Strategic Communications at Equatorise, based in Jakarta. She brings extensive experience spanning newsroom reporting and corporate communications, with a track record in reputation management, stakeholder engagement, and strategic messaging across Indonesia and the UK.
Prior to joining Equatorise, Monica spent more than three years at Bukalapak, progressing from Head of PR Bureau to AVP and subsequently Vice President of PR Bureau, where she led communications for one of Indonesia’s leading technology companies. Earlier in her career, she served as a News Anchor at CNBC Indonesia and previously worked in London as a Digital Marketing Analyst at Mavens of London.
Monica holds a master’s degree from UCL in Educational Planning, Economics & International Development, and a BA (Hons) in Business Studies (Finance) from the University of Gloucestershire.
