Associate Consultant – Energy and Mineral Resources

The Opportunity

We are looking for a talented, highly motivated, Indonesian talent who specialize in providing expert insights and
solutions that help organizations navigate the complexities of the energy and mineral resources industry. Helping to
serve our commitment to sustainability and client success.

You will work closely with our experienced consulting team to conduct research, analyze data, and develop strategic
recommendations for our clients. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects and gain
valuable industry experience.

What you’ll be up to in this role

  • Manage and supervise medium-to-large-size sustainability consulting mandates throughout their entire project cycle: initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure.
  • Collaborate with a high degree of professionalism with colleagues and clients from different countries, showing signs of driving for ownership of team deliverables.
  • Manage expectations on delivery, commit to deadlines, and/or raise issues early to avoid surprises.
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis on energy and mineral resources, including market trends, regulatory frameworks, and technological advancements.
  • Understand a client’s organizational structure, business environment, operating model, and industry context through guided research.
  • Persistence in finding relevant data to reconcile disparate information to structure analyses.
  • Build up and own client relationships, understanding the client’s issues and how to support, rectify issues, and contribute to their success.

  • Min. 1 year of relevant experience in consulting, research, or a related field, preferably in energy and mineral resources.
  • Passion for sustainability and a keen understanding of the energy and mineral sectors.
  • Fluency in Mandarin (spoken and written) and proficiency in English.
  • Demonstrable strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Sound knowledge of emerging global trends and enthusiasm to proactively research and learn from colleagues or our network.
  • Intellectual capacity and curiosity to understand complex issues, and in asking the right questions to help articulate possible solutions.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality work with great attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to changing conditions and effective time management.
  • Strong client & stakeholder engagement.

Bonus points if you

  • Have higher education qualifications from reputable universities in the UK, Europe, or the US.
  • Relevant industry experience in the areas of Energy and Mineral Resources.
  • Experience in developing thought leadership, writing viewpoints for external publications, and participating in public speaking engagements.
